It's by no means scientific, but it is interesting to go to Google Blog Search and type in "Larry King" and see the feedback amongst bloggers to the McCartneys/Williams debate last night on the show. Granted, there are more than a few Newfoundlanders blogging on it. But even those from the rest of Canada and the United States comments on it are overwelmingly against the McCartneys. Yes, you're getting a handful who say the hunt is bad and that they were glad the McCartneys went on the show.
But a lot are mentioning what others in Newfoundland are noting: that they distorted facts, that they got information wrong, that they didn't even know where they were and that Heather McCartney was particularly unpleasant.
It's hardly a victory for Williams. The sample is far too small and it's still only early yet. But the reaction are encouraging.

By the way..NTV broadcast the debate..and during the breaks, they played a Vogue Furrier commercial, advertising Seal Fur coats....it was priceless!
ReplyDeleteOk, that's pretty damn funny. I sometimes question the sanity of the people running NTV, but if they actually went out and got advertising from Vogue knowing they were going to rebroadcast the show, that's an entire new level of cunning.
